Dota 2 Update 7.39d Introduces “Quartero’s Curios” Event With Free Rewards

In the early hours of August 6, Valve rolled outUpdate 7.39d for Dota 2, unveiling a brand-new mini-event titled “Quartero’s Curios.” This limited-time event offers players the opportunity to earn exclusive rewards simply by playing matches.

Meet Quartero – Your New In-Game Companion

A new character named Quartero has been added to the main menu. Acting as an event guide and reward distributor, Quartero grants experience points (XP) based on match outcomes:

• 650 XP for a victory
• 250 XP for a loss
• In Turbo mode, rewards are slightly lower: 475 XP for a win, 150 XP for a loss

Each level requires 1,000 XP, encouraging consistent participation.

Unlock Themed Hero Sets Through Progression

As players level up, they’ll unlock exclusive hero sets:

• Level 10 – Full set for Witch Doctor
• Level 18 – Full set for Vengeful Spirit
• Level 38 – Full set for Legion Commander
• Level 100 – Tier 2 set for Legion Commander

These rewards are designed to reward both casual players and dedicated grinders alike.

Quartero’s Rarity Chests – Bonus Loot Awaits

In addition to hero sets, players will earn a Quartero’s Rarity Chest at level 5 and then every 20 levels thereafter. Each chest contains one of over 100 item sets, with a small chance to drop Immortal or even Arcana-tier items, offering a touch of luck-driven excitement to the grind.
