Dota 2 Player Peak Could Not Reach 700,000

The statistical portal Steam Charts shared the data, according to which, one can observe not the most positive dynamics of changes in Dota 2. They show that part of the audience has lost interest in the game or simply does not find time to enter Dota 2. Since October last year, the number of users at the peak has exceeded 730,000, 740,000, 750,000 and even 786,000 people. In May, this figure did not even reach the mark of 700,000 concurrent users.

If we talk about proportions, then May, compared to April, lost 1% of the audience. Over the past year, this is not the worst indicator. For example, in September last year and February, this lo lost 8% and 7% respectively, however, in October and January there was an increase of 15% and 8%, respectively, which indicates a holding balance.

Analysts say that the negative indicator of the growth dynamics of players may be due to the long absence of new content releases in recent times. Valve recently updated the Dota 2 test client, which may hint at the imminent release of new content in the game.
