Dota 2 Champions League Season 9 has been announced
Tournament operator Epic Esports Events and betting company Winline have announced Dota 2 Champions League Season 9. The championship will be held online from April 4 to April 22.
Good news! The ninth season of Winline D2CL is just around the corner. Together with the betting company Winline, we present Winline Dota 2 Champions League Season 9. The new season in the league will be held from April 4 to April 23, 2022, within which the teams will compete for a prize pool of $50,000.
Open qualifiers for the championship will start on April 2. In total, 18 teams from Europe and the CIS will take part in Dota 2 Champions League Season 9 and compete for a prize pool of $50,000.
Dota 2 Champions League Season 9 group stage participants: Hydra, Team Empire, Gambit Esports, Nemiga Gaming, AS Monaco Gambit, V-Gaming, No Sorry, Lilgun, No Monkey Business, Cybercats, CHILLAX and Yet Another Team + two teams from open qualifications.
Group stage matches will be played in a round robin system with BO3 matches. The group stage participants with the most points will advance to the playoffs, where they will compete in a double elimination bracket with BO3 matches. The final match of Dota 2 Champions League Season 9 will take place in the BO5 format.
Prize pool distribution:
- 1st place — $20,000.
- 2nd place — $10,000.
- 3rd place — $7,000.
- 4th place — $3,500.
- 5th–6th place — $2,500.
- 7th–8th place — $1,250.
- 9th–12th place — $500.
