Rumor: Elephant will disband their Dota 2 roster
Lyon 'Arthur' Lee, translator and esports analyst, revealed on his Twitter account that the story of collecting a superstar Chinese roster under the Elephant tag is likely to end in a team disband. Lyon has posted screenshots of the correspondence between one of the Vici Gaming players, Ren 'eLeVeN' Yanwei, and a representative of the Team Aster club. In this correspondence, it is clear that eLeVeN is ready to join the club alongside Lu 'Somnus 丶 M' Yao and Xu 'fy' Lingsen, who are de facto Elephant players. In addition, along with the aforementioned esportsmen, Jin Wei 'xNova' Yapom may appear in the ranks of Team Aster, who, according to some rumors, was supposed to become part of Elephant.
ELeVeN claims that players are already looking for a new club due to Elephant's decision to disband its roster. Representatives of the club have not yet commented on this information and have not made any official announcements, however, team manager Dong 'Hide' Hang said that the players are indeed waiting for a complete disband. He spoke about this personally to an insider. It is noteworthy that Hide previously said that the information about the disband was not true.
The information that the Elephant roster could be changed or completely disbanded was announced shortly after the end of The International 10. Insiders claim that the decision to disband was postponed, as funds were received by the esports organization. Various rumors also suggested that Eurus would leave the Elephant lineup, while Somnus 丶 M would remain in the band.
Official announcements from Elephant are due to appear shortly, which will put an end to these rumors.
Elephant's current roster:
- Zhang 'Eurus' Chenzhong
- Lu 'Somnus 丶' M Yao
- Zhou 'Yang' Haiyan
- Xu 'fy' Linsen
