Rumor: the transition of Nightfall to Evil Geniuses became the most expensive in the history of the CIS
The Telegram channel “Non-digital economy”, referring to its own sources, reported the cost of buying Yegor 'Nightfall' Grigorenko from Virtus.pro. This makes the transfer the most expensive in the history of the CIS Dota 2 scene. The initial transfer belongs to the same Virtus.pro and RodjER's transfer to Natus Vincere, but then part of the costs were covered by the transfer of Ilya 'Lil me alone' Ilyuk, who returned under the VP banner. This means that, despite the large numbers, Vladimir Nikoghosyan became a NAVI player for a price that did not even reach $ 100,000.
The administration of Non-Digital Economy claims that the most expensive transfer in the CIS, including not only Dota 2, but all other disciplines, took place in 2019. Virtus.pro took part in the deal again. Then they bought out the entire CS: GO roster from AVANGAR, which took 2nd place at StarLadder Berlin Major 2019. By the way, the transfer turned out to be very successful, but not for VP, but for AVANGAR, since after the players moved to the ranks of the Russian e-sports club, the players lost their shape and stopped showing good results.
Egor Grigorenko joined Evil Geniuses before the start of the first round of the Dota Pro Circuit 2021/2022 rating season. The team played in four matches, winning two of them. EG is currently tied for third place with 4 Zoomers and Wildcard Gaming. Due to poor results, Evil Geniuses had no chance of reaching the Major tournament.
