Virtus.pro's Nightfall started playing offlane
Virtus.pro fans noticed an interesting fact about Virtus.pro: Egor 'Nightfall' Grigorenko has been actively playing in third position in recent matches. This information can be found on the Dota2ProTracker website.
In the last ten confrontations, he has used heroes such as Mars, Sand King, Legion Commander, Slardar, Earthshaker and others used in the third position. The interesting facts do not end there. Egor 'Nightfall' Grigorenko played almost all matches with his teammate from Virtus.pro Vitaly 'Save-' Melnik.
Recently, rumors began to circulate on the Internet that Dmitry 'DM' Dorokhin, who is in third position in Virtus.pro, could leave the team and become a free agent. In addition, Save- for some unknown reason changed their Steam nickname to 'lft', which may be an acronym for looking for team or a shorthand for left. Considering the possible departure of DM from the team, Nightfall's transition to the offlane position seems quite a realistic scenario for the upcoming events.
Virtus.pro general manager Sergei Glamazda commented on this situation on October 22. VP CEO noted that all the rumors have nothing to do with reality and Virtus.pro will continue playing with the same roster.
For our part, we would like to note that often the words of the leadership of eSports organizations do not coincide with reality. Notable examples: the recent departure of Yegor 'flamie' Vasiliev from Natus Vincere. He was replaced by the young and promising player Valery 'B1t' Wakhovsky. According to the NAVI coach, such a decision was temporary, but the fans of the organization immediately suspected this exclusion of flamie from the ranks of the starting lineup. As it turned out later, their assumptions turned out to be correct. For this reason, it would not be superfluous to assume that Nightfall will indeed be able to replace DM in the offlane position over time, while Dmitry Dorokhin will leave the organization, and Virtus.pro will find a new player for the first position.
