S4 is no longer an Alliance player
The official website of the Alliance organization announced the departure of Gustav "s4" Magnusson from the Dota 2 roster. The reasons for this decision were not disclosed, however, the latest results of the team left much to be desired, because the team did not manage to rise above the 9th-12th place at the coveted The International 10.
Jonathan "Loda" Berg:
“It's always sad to say goodbye to an old friend. Especially to such a special and important Alliance in the history of Alliance as s4, son of Magnus. We all wanted more at this TI, but that does not mean that we did not give our best this year. as well as everyone who gets to this tournament.
It was joyful to see Gustav next to him. When I say this, I can speak on behalf of all players and staff. Spending a few more moments with an old friend is like a blessing. Together with the team, he brought us back to The International and even won the game in the main stage. This is something that we have not been able to do for a long time. Thanks for coming back. "
Gustav returned to the Alliance foundation in April 2020 and since then has helped the team to enter the top three at ESL One Birmingham 2020 - Online: Europe & CIS, Gamers Without Borders 2020, OGA Dota PIT Season 2: Europe/CIS, OGA Dota PIT Season 3: Europe/CIS, DreamLeague Season 14 DPC EU Upper Division, DreamLeague Season 15 DPC Western Europe Upper Division and ESL One Summer 2021.
Recall that not so long ago Artyom "fng" Barshak and Linus "Limmp" Blomdina also left the team, so the current lineup looks like this:
- Nikolay "Nikobaby" Nikolov
- Simon "Handsken" Haag
