The organizers of IEM Oakland 2017 championship gave two more direct invites for the championship - Team Liquid and CLoud9 have no need to prove their readiness to the competition on regional qualifiers. Two more invites will be given directly, and we will know four more participants after the end of qualifiers.

The final stage of the event is scheduled for November 18 – 19 in Oakland, USA. 12 best teams will compete for the champion title and a huge prize pool of $300,000.
