New details of IEM Masters World Championship Katowice 2017

The organizers of IEM Masters World Championship Katowice 2017 announced 2 more teams to receive direct invites to the event. These teams are FaZe Clan and North. The total number of participants is 12. Earlier, Team Astralis, Ninjas in Pyjamas, SK Gaming, Virtus.pro, Cloud9 and OpTic Gaming also received direct invites. The closed European qualifiers are scheduled on February 4-5. Three best teams will get the invitations to IEM Katowice 2017. The last team to get the invitation will be the winner of North American qualifying stage. American qualifiers are also scheduled on February 4-5. In the 11-th season of Intel Extreme Masters, the tournament in Katowice will be the last one. LAN-final will take place on March 1-5, and the prize pool will be $250,000. 12 teams will be seeded into groups with 6 teams in each. They will play in round-robin system with best-of-one matches. The best teams will join the play-off series. The participants taking 2-3 places will play more matches to determine who will continue the competition in the final stage of the event. For each winning in the group stage, the organizers will add additional $1,000. IEM Katowice 2017 list of participants
