A $230,000 CS:GO tournament will be run in Greece
Today, the eSports platform PVPRO.com has informed about details of the first tournament in Electronic Sports Gaming Tour series — Mykonos.
ESG Tour — Mykonos 2017 will be run on the Greek island Mykonos and its prize pool will amount $230,000.
Such teams as SK Gaming, Virtus.pro, Team Liquid, mousesports, Heroic, BIG and the champions of the last Major tournament Gambit eSports have confirmed their participation in ESG Mykonos 2017.
This will be an unusual LAN tournament. Instead of making a classic tournament in a dark building or a stadium, ESG has decided to move Counter Strike in exotic places of the Earth and to host CS:GO tournaments in the open air.
The tournament series ESG Tour starts on the famous Greek island Mykonos on September 7-10. Seven of eight participants are known at the moment. The last team will be determined at the closed qualifying round for four teams that will be run on August 17-18. PvPRO has promised to announce invites to the closed qualification at the next week.
Eight teams will gather at a villa that includes three houses, two pools and players will have a great view at the Aegean Sea.
