The return comes after a relatively short absence of six months. Anubis was removed from rotation in July 2025, when Overpass was brought back instead. Ahead of the announcement, much of the community expected the revamped Cache to be added, especially following Valve’s official acquisition of the map from FMPONE. However, those expectations did not materialize.

As for Train, its stay in the competitive pool was brief. The map remained in rotation for just one year, having replaced Vertigo at the start of 2025.
