Season 7 Launch: FACEIT Introduces Strict Account Verification and Updates Premium Match System

FACEIT is stepping up its efforts to improve match quality ahead of Season 7 by introducing an updated account verification system. These changes are aimed at significantly enhancing the quality of Premium and Veteran matches, as well as optimizing the reporting system to ensure a fairer and more enjoyable gameplay experience.

Key Changes:

VERIFICATION

Starting from November 19, suspicious verified accounts may receive a request to complete a repeated selfie check. Players are given 5 attempts; if they fail, their verification will be removed and access to matches will be blocked. The new selfie is compared to a biometric profile stored via FACEIT’s partner, Daon.

Top players with high Elo may undergo additional checks, including an account history review, a video call, or even a supervised test match. Those who pass all steps will receive a legitimacy badge on their profile.

PREMIUM MATCH & VETERAN MODES

Premium Super Match is being reworked into Premium Match with stricter requirements. The mode is now available only to players with a Premium subscription, mandatory ID verification, and a minimum match count — from 50 games for lower levels up to 600 games for 2500+ Elo players.

The Veteran-only mode has also been expanded: it can now be enabled in both 5v5 Standard and Super Match queues. To activate it, every member of the party must meet the required match count.

UPDATED REPORT SYSTEM

FACEIT has revamped its report system to make it more convenient and effective. Reports can now be submitted directly from the match page or a player’s profile, and the submission window has been extended to 6 hours (previously only 10 minutes).

Players can specify the exact round of the incident and attach screenshots, videos, or comments. Detailed, high-quality reports are reviewed first, ensuring faster action against offenders. Additionally, players will now receive notifications for every stage of the review process: received → under review → resolved.
