Stricter Identity Verification

One of the most impactful updates is the return of selfie verification for already verified accounts. If suspicious activity is detected, players will be temporarily locked out of matches until they confirm their identity with a new photo. After five failed attempts, verification is permanently revoked — along with access to matchmaking.

High-level players will also face stronger security checks. Some top-ranked users may be required to complete a video call or a monitored gameplay session to confirm that the account belongs to a real, active player. Successful verification will be rewarded with a new trust badge.

Big Changes to Premium Queue

Premium matchmaking is also being reworked. To enter the updated Premium Match, players must meet three requirements:

  • an active FACEIT Premium subscription,
  • successful account verification,
  • and a minimum number of completed matches — ranging from 50 for new players to 600 for high-level competitors.

Premium subscribers will also be able to match exclusively with experienced players who meet FACEIT’s newly updated veteran criteria.

A Smarter Reporting System

The reporting feature has received a major upgrade. Players now have up to six hours after a match to file a report and can include screenshots, videos, and even specify exact rounds where misconduct occurred. More detailed reports will receive higher priority, and users will get notifications at each stage of the review process.
