G2 Esports has officially announced the departure of star AWPer Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov, who is set to join Team Falcons. The move was confirmed by G2 CEO Alban Dechelotte, who explained that with m0NESY’s contract expiring at the end of 2025, the organization opted to transfer him now rather than risk losing him on a free transfer.

The timing of the transfer adds an extra twist: it comes right after PGL Bucharest, where G2 fell short in the grand final against Falcons — the very team m0NESY is now joining.
