CS Legend GuardiaN Retires from Professional Play, Shifts Focus to Streaming

The legendary sniper Ladislav "GuardiaN" Kovács has officially announced his retirement from professional Counter-Strike 2. In a video published by BC.Game, the Slovakian veteran revealed that he made the decision without hesitation and now plans to focus on streaming.

GuardiaN began his professional career in 2006 and went on to become one of the greatest AWPers in CS:GO history. Over nearly 20 years, he competed at the highest level, representing powerhouse teams like Natus Vincere, FaZe Clan, and Virtus.pro.

GuardiaN’s Career Highlights

Throughout his career, GuardiaN participated in 14 Major tournaments, reaching the grand finals on three occasions (MLG Columbus 2016, DreamHack Open Cluj-Napoca 2015, and ELEAGUE Major 2018). Despite coming close, he never managed to secure a Major title. However, his legacy is cemented by several prestigious victories, including:
