Fnatic Rebuilds with Rising Ukrainian Stars fear and Burmylov for 2024 Season Shake-Up!

Fnatic has officially announced the signing of two Ukrainian players — Rodion "⁠fear⁠" Smyk and Denys "⁠Burmylov⁠" Buraga — bringing their roster back to full strength.

The duo replaces Alexandre "⁠bodyy⁠" Pianaro and Tim "⁠nawwk⁠" Jonasson, who were benched during the winter offseason. This move marks Fnatic's shift towards a significantly younger lineup, as the new players are collectively 14 years younger than their predecessors, lowering the team's average age to 24.5.

Fear joins Fnatic as the new in-game leader (IGL) after leading Passion UA to a surprising appearance in the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 Opening Stage, securing impressive victories over Astralis, Spirit, and Virtus.pro during the RMR.

Burmylov arrives from MOUZ NXT, where he had been competing since January 2024. During his time with the academy team, he maintained a 1.05 average rating and notably helped the squad secure second place at both the RES Regional Series 3 Europe and CCT Season 2 Europe Series 3.

The revamped Fnatic roster is set to debut at BLAST Bounty Season 1 after receiving an invitation due to The MongolZ's withdrawal from the event.
