The map designer for CS 2 left Valve after the game's release
Lidia "PHRISK" Zanotti, the level designer for CS2, has concluded her tenure with Valve. This occurred after the game's release, but the news of her departure only surfaced several months later.
In her statement to Dust2.us, she remarked that it was time for change. Despite leaving the company, she continues to work on a new community map, de_dharma, and is involved in the development of a small startup.
Zanotti is credited with most of the artistic changes in CS2. It's known that she contributed to the overhaul of maps like Italy and Overpass. Additionally, the designer created various minor elements, such as maple trees.
PHRISK worked at Valve since May 2021. She transitioned to the publisher after three years at Riot Games, where she was involved in creating maps for Valorant. The similarity in styles between competing shooters has repeatedly caught the attention of many industry figures.
