The authoritative portal HLTV presented the name of the esportsman who took 12th place in the list of the best players of 2022. It was blameF, who is the leader of the troubled Astralis team.

Last season, the 25-year-old Dane became the MVP of the Pinnacle Cup Championship 2022 summer tournament, and also received EVP for his performances at ESL Pro League Season 15, Roobet Cup 2022 and Intel Extreme Masters XVII - Cologne.

This is the third best player of the season for blameF, who finished 6th in 2020 and 13th in 2021.

Astralis hasn't had the best season yet, constantly running into problems at major tournaments. However, with the help of blameF, the team managed to get into the top three at BLAST Premier: Spring European Showdown 2022, Pinnacle Cup Championship 2022, Roobet Cup 2022, Intel Extreme Masters XVII - Cologne, BLAST Premier: Fall European Showdown 2022 and Elisa Masters Espoo 2022.

At the same time, the 25-year-old Dane remained one of the most useful players for the team, which often lacked outside firepower. As the editors note, blameF failed to be higher due to several factors: 1) a weak selection from large championships (the Dane missed the major in Rio de Janeiro, at least); 2) the awards received are not comparable with the regalia of competitors above; 3) weak performance in key metrics.
