HooXi on influence on m0NESY: "I think I have influence on m0NESY, but NiKo has a lot more"
HooXi, who is the captain of the G2 Esports team, spoke about the impact on the game of the young shooter m0NESY. During a recent HLTV Confirmed podcast, the 27-year-old Dane shared the nuances he faces when building his team's game. In particular, the captain noted m0NESY, which, according to him, is very adaptable and trainable.
I try to play with m0NESY in such a way that he can fully develop his crazy skill. I don't think he was allowed to do that before. For example on Nuke, the sniper is often on the "cliff" only throwing grenades. It seemed like m0NESY was playing his part on Nuke on every map, which didn't make sense. After all, even on Inferno, he can easily occupy the center of the map and first kill the first one, then kill the second one without aiming, and then we can take the round. It's pretty easy to call when you have the opportunity to send a 17 year old to mid and you've already won the round.
I think I have influence on m0NESY, but NiKo has a lot more of it. He has been with m0NESY since January and they have a lot in common. NiKo is a guy who is good at teaching someone on the fly when we play practice.
Recall that G2 Esports won the last BLAST Premier: World Final 2022, beating Team Liquid with a score of 2:0. Moreover, m0NESY was recognized as the best player of the tournament, receiving the first MVP award in his career.
The next championship for G2 Esports is Intel Extreme Masters Katowice 2023. However, the team will also take part in the first tournament from BLAST, which is expected to take place at the end of January.
