Valve fixed the long-suffering bug with the flight of the Molotov Cocktail in the latest update
On the night of December 13-14, 2022, Valve released a fresh update for CS:GO, in which they fixed a bug with the flight of the Molotov Cocktail. In addition, the developers updated the map pool for unranked matches, added a medal for service in 2023, and also made a 75% discount on the purchase of IEM Rio Major 2022 sticker capsules.
In the latest update, the development team finally fixed a long-standing bug that caused Molotov Cocktails and Incendiary Grenades to fly longer than intended for two seconds. The bug has been used by some pro teams on all competitive maps, including Ancient and Vertigo.
The bug was triggered in cases where an incendiary grenade or a Molotov Cocktail flew over a 2D skybox at the same time that it was supposed to explode, which allowed the grenade to continue flying indefinitely, since they are coded not to explode over a 2D skybox or on German As a result, the grenade could travel an unlimited distance if thrown in a single direction.
