Passion UA releases full CS2 roster

Passion UA announced the termination of cooperation with its Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) roster.

The Ukrainian esports team, a regular participant of the Tier-2 scene, recently competed in the closed qualifiers of BLAST Bounty Season 2, where they were eliminated at the 1/16 finals stage.

Volodymyr "Woro2k" Veletniuk and Oleksii "Topa" Topchienko were released from the roster, while Mykyta "jackasmo" Skyba, Serhii "DemQQ" Demchenko, and Vladyslav "Kvem" Korol were moved to the bench. This step came as a surprise to all fans of the team.

“This is not the end of the Passion UA story, but the beginning of a new chapter,” the organization stated on Twitter, indicating that they plan to continue competing in CS2.

The current roster was formed between January and April after Fnatic signed Rodion "fear" Smyk and Dmytro "jambo" Semera.

This season, Passion UA ranked among the top 50 teams in the Valve Regional Standings (VRS), made possible by the team’s success in June. Passion UA won Glitched Masters 2025, defeating Fnatic in the grand final. However, they failed to replicate this level of play online, which led to a series of unsuccessful attempts to qualify for major LAN tournaments.

After losing in the first round of BLAST Bounty, Passion UA also fell to 500 in the Thunderpick World Championship 2025 Europe Series #2, and later suffered defeat in the ESL Challenger League Season 50. These results likely became the reason for the roster changes.

Currently, there is fierce competition for a place in the top 32 of the standings, as these positions grant a spot at the upcoming StarLadder Budapest Major in November.
