Rumors: kassad may lead G2 Esports
According to the portal Jaxon.gg, the European esports organization G2 Esports is considering the possibility of appointing kassad to the position of head coach of the CS:GO roster. If the move goes through, the 36-year-old Serbian will replace XTQZZZ, who left the team at the end of October.
According to the source, the first rumors about the possible appointment of kassad appeared in early November, when the club appointed peca, who is well acquainted with his compatriot from work in CR4ZY/Valiance, as the new general manager.
Kassad himself is quite an experienced specialist, who made his mark thanks to his work with the teams mousesports, Renegades, Valiance and 100 Thieves. Here, the 36-year-old Serbian specialist became the winner of Asia Minor Championship - Kraków 2017 and StarLadder i-League Invitational #2, and also got into the TOP-3 at StarLadder Berlin Major 2019 and Intel Extreme Masters XIV - Beijing.
However, kassad is probably trying to forget his disastrous year in EXTREMUM, which turned out to be a complete failure for the team and missed out on the major. As a result, the Serbian decided to leave the stage to focus his efforts on a career as an analyst in a lighting studio. However, the European organization is also considering other candidates. In particular, G2 Esports is interested in emi, who at one time was not only a captain, but also a coach and analyst.
In any case, the club does not have much time left to decide on its likely Balkan future.
The next championship for the European team will be BLAST Premier: Fall Finals 2022, which will be held at the end of November. At the same time, it is not known whether the organization will limit itself to some changes in the coaching bridge.
