YEKINDAR joins Team Liquid
European esports organization Team Liquid has officially unveiled YEKINDAR as its fifth player. Recall that Marek played for the team as a stand-in for the past three months. However, the 23-year-old Latvian player recently bought out his contract from Virtus.pro, thus becoming open to a move to a new club.
From the very first event in Cologne, I have only good emotions from Team Liquid and the CS:GO roster! I am happy to announce that I have joined Team Liquid. Thank you all for your support, my new chapter starts here!, — wrote Marek
YEKINDAR became a real star in Virtus.pro (Outsiders). Here, the 23-year-old Latvian player became the winner of Flashpoint Season 2, DreamHack Open December 2020, cs_summit 7, Pinnacle Fall Series #1 and ESL Challenger #48, and also reached the playoffs of PGL Major Stockholm 2021, while becoming the eighth best player in 2021- year.
However, after the Belgian Major, YEKINDAR left the team's starting roster to find himself in a new club. Some time later, the 23-year-old Latvian player appeared in Team Liquid, where he managed to win BLAST Premier: Fall Groups 2022 and Intel Extreme Masters Road to Rio 2022: American RMR, as well as reach the finals of ESL Pro League Season 16.
Well, quite recently, Marek bought out his contract from the former club, thanks to which he managed to make his transfer to Team Liquid on a full-fledged basis.
The nearest championship for the North American team will be Intel Extreme Masters Rio Major 2022, which will start at the end of October. At the same time, "liquid" became the winners of the regional RMR tournament, thanks to which they directly made their way into the "legends" of the major.
