maLeK leaves the coaching position in Evil Geniuses
The North American esports organization Evil Geniuses has announced a change in coaching in the CS:GO roster. While maLeK goes inactive, Hepa and Evy, who were analyst and assistant head coach, leave the organization.
Evil Geniuses is committed to the success of this team and will continue to take the necessary steps to help our players challenge the best teams on the international stage.
It's no secret that our results at the start of the season left much to be desired. Because of this, we made the difficult decision to move our coach maLeK into inactive and gave him the opportunity to explore options for continuing his career. We also parted ways with Assistant Coach Evy and Analyst Hepa and thank them for their hard work during their time with Evil Geniuses.
We are excited to start fresh by finding a new coaching staff that fits the purpose and system of Evil Geniuses and is perfect to bring out the best in this roster.
Stay tuned for more information in the coming months.
maLeK and his coaching staff joined Evil Geniuses at the start of the new season. In five months, the team failed at PGL Major Antwerp 2022: American RMR, and also failed to qualify for Intel Extreme Masters XVII - Dallas.
Note that maLeK is one of several dozen trainers who are rumored to be caught using a coaching bug. It is likely that the French specialist will run into trouble finding a new club if ESIC releases the rest of the report.
From now on, the Evil Geniuses CS:GO roster is as follows:
- Brehze.
- CeRq.
- Stewie2K.
- automatic.
- RUSH.
