Co-founder of ENCE and co-managing director of Immortals criticized the rating of teams from ESL
Tomi Kovanen, who is the co-founder and co-managing director of ENCE and Immortals, respectively, has criticized the ESL team rankings. On his Twitter, the 34-year-old Finn expressed bewilderment about the position of the Team Liquid team, which, with the latest rating update, is in tenth place.
The new Team Liquid roster won BO1 against Evil Geniuses in the open qualifier at PGL Major Antwerp 2022: American RMR, finished last at BLAST Premier: Spring Groups 2022 and finished IEM Katowice 2022 without a win and won BO3 against BIG, GODSENT and Party Astronauts at EPL.
However, the team ranks tenth in the ESL ranking.
In the comments, lurppis said that the tenth place of Team Liquid is due to the achievements of shox in Team Vitality, with which the Frenchman showed good results.
In response, the co-founder of ENCE added that he did not agree with how ESL builds its rating policy without taking into account the merits of individual players in the results of teams.
I for one think that Team Liquid shouldn't be the top ten team in the world today because of how good ZywOo was at the end of last year.
Currently, the team rankings from ESL are as follows:
- NAVI.
- Faze Clan.
- G2 Esports.
- players.
- Team vitality.
- heroic.
- outsiders.
- NIP.
- Astralis.
- Team Liquid.
