Boombl4 has contracted the coronavirus and will play the IEM Katowice 2022 group stage from quarantine

NaVi CS:GO captain Kirill "Boombl4" Mikhailov received a positive test result for coronavirus, which will force him to play in the group stage of IEM Katowice 2022 from the quarantine zone. The e-sportsman himself said that he was feeling well, and his illness should not affect the preparation of the team.

Boombl4, as required by the IEM Katowice 2022 regulations, passed a coronavirus test upon arrival in Poland. This means that he cannot participate in the championship with the rest of the team. However, the captain of NAVI said that he feels good and will be able to participate in the group stage matches from the hotel room, as the exit from MIBR did as part of the Play-In stage.

It is expected that Boombl4 will pass another test before the start of the IEM Katowice 2022 playoffs. If the player receives a positive result again, he will be forced to miss the decisive stage of the championship. At the same time, headtr1ck was announced as a replacement for NAVI, who in January showed himself perfectly in the NAVI Junior roster.

The group stage of IEM Katowice 2022 will take place from 17 to 20 February, after which the championship will take a five-day break. The playoffs of the tournament will be held from 25 to 27 February.

Recall that this is not the first time that the coronavirus changes the composition of the IEM Katowice 2022 participants. Earlier, the Complexity team withdrew from the tournament, while ropz was forced to miss the start of the championship. Following the Estonian, bad news came from the MOUZ camp, whose members left Bymas for the same reason.
