OG opens recruitment for CS:GO youth roster
The Danish esports organization OG has announced the launch of its own CS:GO academy. At the same time, the organization opened a call for applications for everyone who wants to get into the team.
Mike Schwartz, Head of Esports at OG Esports:
Talent development has always been a key focus for me on any project, not only in working to build on existing talent in the first roster, but also in building a system that can develop talent from the bottom up. We knew that there have always been parallels in the development of traditional sports that have been adapted into different league structures and now CS is seeing more and more talent flow through this system. This is an exciting time for the next generation of players and we hope to be the destination for them.
Anyone can apply to the OG youth CS:GO squad through a special form until February 24 inclusive. At the same time, the organization selects a specialist who will lead the project.
Over the next two months, the organization will be evaluating applications from both players and for a project leader who will work closely with existing OG staff to bring the two squads together.
