crisby leads OG Academy
European esports organization OG has announced the appointment of crisby as head coach of the OG Academy youth team. Recall that the 31-year-old German specialist recently left Strife Esports.
Two months ago we told you about our latest project - the opening of a youth team in our CS:GO division. The call for proposals has been more than successful and we are proud of the enthusiasm around this project, in line with our values. But above all, we needed a maestro. A conductor with the necessary experience to help young talents develop in a highly competitive environment.
For this pivotal role, we are pleased to announce the signing of Christian "crisby" Schmitt.
At OG, Christian has the daunting task of finding five talents who can wear the OG jersey before coaching them throughout the journey. Its work begins today as more than 50 candidates from 400 applicants have already been pre-selected for various tests over the next few weeks.
To this end, he will work closely with the existing staff of Vladislava, Kasper and Alexander, with whom he has collaborated in the past. We firmly believe that he was the most suitable candidate as we strive to continue to develop our synergy between emerging professionals and seasoned veterans.
crisby has spent the last months at the helm of Strife Esports. The 31-year-old German specialist led the team to victory at Fragadelphia 16, and also helped to get into the top three at ESEA Cash Cup: North America - Winter 2022 #5. In addition, under his leadership, the team took fourth place in the ESL Challenger League Season 40: North America.
The current OG Academy roster is as follows:
