ENCE Launches Academy Program
Finnish esports organization ENCE has announced the launch of an academy program aimed at developing local young talents in the CS:GO discipline. The program will start functioning in the first quarter of this year.
Counter-Strike is in the DNA of the ENCE organization. Thanks to many talented Finnish players, ENCE has the opportunity to become what we are today. We now want to invest in and grow the scene we are deeply rooted in by launching the CS:GO academy program in the first quarter of 2022.
The organization is currently looking for someone who can lead the project and manage it with the help of the existing ENCE infrastructure and further replenishment of the academy program staff. ENCE sets itself the task of finding and cultivating young talented esportsmen capable of becoming true professionals in the future.
Niklas Oyalainen, general manager of ENCE eSports organization:
Last year, when we were rebuilding our CS:GO team, we quickly realized that we didn't have the ability to create a fully Finnish roster that would put us where we needed to be as an ESL Pro League partner team. The creation of an academy program has been in our plans for a long time, we hope that one day there will be future talents for our main team. Following a successful transition in 2021 to an international core roster, we are ready to begin building the academy program on top of our existing infrastructure.
The organization also emphasized that the main emphasis will be placed on local players. However, ENCE did not rule out that in the future it would consider candidates from other European countries. The organization said it will reveal more details as the program launches.
