Atlanta FaZe became the champion of the Call of Duty League 2021
The Call of Duty League 2021 has come to an end. In the final stage of the championship, which took place from August 19 to 22 at the Galen Center in Los Angeles, eight teams fought for a prize pool of $ 2.5 million. The tournament was won by the Atlanta FaZe team, who beat Toronto Ultra in the final with a score of 5: 3.
Atlanta FaZe confirmed its championship ambitions in the regular season, finishing it with 525 points in total. Thanks to this success, the team guaranteed itself a direct hit in the second round of the playoffs, from where it began its journey to the top. However, the final part of the competition turned out to be easy for the team, which first dealt with the New York Subliners (3: 0), and then closed the Dallas Empire (3: 0).
In turn, Toronto Ultra finished second in the regular season, 110 points behind the leader. However, at the start of the final part of the competition, the team lost to Dallas Empire (2: 3) and fell into the lower bracket. Here the team had to hold three meetings, simultaneously beating OpTic Chicago (3: 1), Minnesota RØKKR (3: 2) and Dallas Empire (3: 2) to get to the coveted final.
