COD Mobile Season 5 Introduces Major Secret Cache Overhaul and Legendary AK47 – ICB Reward

With the arrival ofSeason 5: Primal Reckoning on May 28, 2025, Call of Duty: Mobile is rolling out a significant update to its Secret Caches system. 🔄 Secret Cache Overhaul Arrives May 29

The update to Secret Caches goes live on May 29, just one day after the season begins. One of the most important changes is the introduction of a new Universal Shard system, designed to streamline how players unlock high-tier weapons.

If you already own a weapon and receive duplicate shards, they’ll now be automatically converted into Universal Shards instead of regular tokens. These shards come in three tiers:

• Mythic Shards
• Major Legendary Shards
• Minor Legendary Shards

Each type corresponds to different weapon rarities and can be used to unlock new content. Players can also convert excess shards directly from their inventory with a single tap.

🔫 New Legendary Reward: AK47 – ICB Rifle

Replacing the Stun Baton – Surge Baton as the top-tier reward in Secret Caches is the newly added AK47 – ICB Rifle. Stylish and deadly, this Legendary weapon will be highly sought after by collectors and competitive players alike.

As part of the transition, players will receive compensation via in-game mail in the form of Universal Shards, based on the number of excess shards they held prior to the update.

⚠️ Don’t Forget: Challenge Tokens Now Expire

Another important note: Challenge Tokens will now come with an expiration date. Be sure to use them before they expire, as unredeemed tokens will be lost. Reward distribution for past activities may take 5 to 7 business days, so keep an eye on your inbox.
