Player Wins Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Match by Dancing with a Molotov
In the dynamic world of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, players have discovered countless creative ways to secure eliminations. However, one recent victory may take the crown for sheer absurdity: a player managed to win a match by dancing while holding a Molotov cocktail.
Since its release, Black Ops 6 has offered an expansive arsenal and a variety of game modes, including fan favorites like Domination, Kill Confirmed, Gunfight, Team Deathmatch, and Search and Destroy. The latter mode, a staple of the franchise, challenges players to either activate or defend a bomb or eliminate the opposing team. While many players focus on objectives, some aim for spectacular or unconventional eliminations. One such player achieved a bizarre finale in a Search and Destroy match by dancing in a hallway with a Molotov in hand — a strategy that surprisingly worked.
The Clip That Went Viral
Reddit user SpawnTubing shared a video from a Hardcore Search and Destroy match on the Rewind map. In the clip, the player activates the Black Ops 6 Season 1 Battle Pass Emote "Move Set," inspired by the breakdancing routines of Paris Olympics 2024 athlete Raygun. They perform the Emote behind a closed door near the A target in Rewind's video store. As the player dances, Molotov in hand, an enemy approaches and eliminates them. However, the Molotov detonates posthumously, engulfing the area in flames and taking down the attacker. The round concludes with the Emoting player credited for the Final Kill — a fiery and unconventional victory.
A Lethal Combination of Emotes and Equipment
While the "Move Set" Emote added flair to the play, the Molotov strategy could work with any Emote. In Hardcore modes, Molotov cocktails deal significant initial damage, making this tactic particularly effective. In Core game modes, however, the Molotov inflicts damage over time, reducing its immediate lethality. SpawnTubing noted that their equipment settings were configured to "toggle" rather than "hold," simplifying the execution of such tactics. Whether this fiery display contributed to their team winning the match remains unclear.
Implications for the Future
As Treyarch continues to update Black Ops 6, more Emotes are likely to be added, potentially leading to even more creative kill cams. However, if the "dancing Molotov" strategy gains popularity and disrupts gameplay, Treyarch may introduce patches to prevent players from holding Lethal equipment during Emotes.
For now, this clip serves as a testament to the unpredictable and often humorous possibilities within Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. From tactical precision to outlandish creativity, the game continues to inspire players to push the boundaries of what’s possible on the battlefield.
