Call of Duty's Ghost Gets a New Look in Latest Operator Skin Release
Call of Duty’s iconic character, Ghost, has been spotted in a new avatar wearing jeans, thanks to a post shared on the game's official social media. Ghost is a fan-favorite character who has appeared in multiple games in the series, including the latest Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.
Simon "Ghost" Riley is a recurring character in the Call of Duty franchise, commanding significant popularity, especially after the Ghost Stare meme went viral. In the series, Ghost is depicted as a lieutenant with roles in the Special Air Service, Task Force 141, and other elite units. He is instantly recognizable by his skull mask, which is a signature part of his appearance. Notably, Ghost was one of the three protagonists in 2022's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
In a Twitter post, the official Call of Duty account shared an image of Ghost sporting blue jeans, presenting a more casual look for the character. This new outfit is a fresh operator skin for Ghost, available in the Call of Duty Store for Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone players. Fans reacted positively to the addition, with one commenting that they had been "waiting for this pack for years," and another expressing surprise that the Jeans Ghost skin "took this long to be realized." Some fans even requested additional skins for other characters, including new looks for John "Soap" MacTavish and Phillip Graves from Modern Warfare 3.
The Jeans Ghost skin had been anticipated for weeks after being teased in a recent Season 4 Reloaded trailer. The outfit pays homage to Ghost's look from the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 campaign, where he was last seen wearing jeans. The skin is part of the Obsidian Steed bundle, priced at 1600 COD Points, and includes the Obsidian Steed assault rifle, a large decal, an emblem, and a loading screen.
Beyond new operator skins, Call of Duty fans have more exciting content to look forward to. Recently, Call of Duty announced a collaboration with WWE for Season 5. Additionally, there are rumors of future crossovers with the Deadpool and Wolverine movies.
Furthermore, the next installment in the Call of Duty series is on the horizon, with Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 set to launch on October 25. This game will take players back to the '90s for a spy adventure set at the end of the Cold War and will reintroduce the classic round-based Zombies mode popularized by Treyarch's previous games.
