Modern Warfare 3 Revival: Open Beta Unleashes Epic Multiplayer and Zombies Experience

November is rapidly approaching, and with it comes the highly anticipated addition to the Call of Duty series from Activision. This year, Infinity Ward and Activision are set to unveil a remastered version of the third chapter in the Modern Warfare saga, marking the epic conclusion of Task Force 141's brave leaders, Captain Price and Sergeant "Soap" MacTavish.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 promises an entirely new single-player campaign, an exhilarating open-world zombie adventure, and a launch lineup featuring 16 multiplayer maps. This collection comprises remastered fan favorites from 2009's Modern Warfare 2, along with an additional 12 fresh multiplayer maps scheduled to arrive throughout the year. Eager players looking to dive into their next mission can get a taste of what Activision has in store this holiday season by accessing the open beta this weekend.

For those wondering how to participate in the open beta, PC and Xbox players who have already pre-ordered their copy of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will have the privilege of enjoying it for a few extra days. The beta commenced earlier on Thursday, October 12th, at 10am PT/ 1pm ET, and will run until Monday, October 16th, at the same local time. Players who haven't pre-ordered the game need not worry, as they'll have their chance to join the action starting on Saturday, October 14th, at 10am PT/ 1pm ET.

To access the beta, log in to Call of Duty HQ. If you don't have Call of Duty HQ or Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 installed, you can find them in the store or under purchased games, labeled as simply "Call Of Duty" in the owned games section. Once Call of Duty HQ is installed, connect to the Activision network, scroll down to the Modern Warfare 3 tab, and launch the beta. For pre-order customers, there may be an option to join the open beta in the first tab of the Call of Duty HQ, titled "What's Hot".

Inside the beta, players will enjoy the freedom to customize weapons, operators, and finishing moves. They can dive into three distinct playlists: Mosh Pit, Cutthroat, and Ground War. Mosh Pit will throw players into classic 6v6 game modes like Team Deathmatch and Domination. Ground War, an enhanced version of Domination, offers intense battles on large maps with large teams, all vying to capture and control five objectives. A new mode in Modern Warfare 3, called Cutthroat (inspired by the billiards game), will challenge three teams of three to fight for supremacy until only one team remains. In this mode, players won't respawn until the next round, and the first team to reach the round score limit will emerge as the victor.
