According to unconfirmed information, the official announcement of Call of Duty 2023 will take place in early August
Previously, reports surfaced online that Activision had no intention of releasing a new Call of Duty game this year. However, the company later announced that they were developing a new shooter that would pick up where Modern Warfare 2 left off.
Insider Gaming reported that the presentation of this year's Call of Duty will occur on August 1st. Typically, Activision chooses August to officially announce new titles in the series, but last year's Modern Warfare 2 was introduced in June.
It remains unclear what will be shown during the presentation, but it could be a trailer or a full gameplay demonstration. Additionally, the publisher may choose to showcase the new game in Call of Duty: Warzone, as was the case with Black Ops Cold War in 2020 and Vanguard in 2021.
It's probable that the continuation of Modern Warfare 2 will release in November, with beta testing expected to occur in October. We'll stay up-to-date with all the news and keep you informed.
