Call of Duty League 2023 schedule leaked online
Rumors have appeared on the Internet regarding the dates of the Call of Duty League 2023. If they turn out to be correct, then the league could begin as early as December of this year.
Ever since the Call of Duty League first launched a couple of years ago, Activision has always been working to improve the schedule and format of the CoD season. In 2020, Call of Duty league matches were canceled, and in subsequent years, meetings were moved to an online format.
Fans and representatives of esports organizations have often put forward the proposal to postpone the CoD league to earlier dates, and this time it seems that Activision decided to listen to this opinion.
The new season of Call of Duty will be played in the 2023 Modern Warfare 2 CoD client.
If the data leaked to the network turns out to be true, then the schedule looks like this:
- Major tournament 1 for professionals and amateurs: December 15-18
- Major tournament 2: February 2-5
- Major Tournament 3: March 9-12
- Major tournament 4: April 20-23
- Major tournament 5: May 25-28
- Call of Duty Championship: June 15-18
Before the first Major tournament for amateur teams and professionals, two qualifying matches will be held at the weekend. Otherwise, three qualifying matches will be played over the weekend. Despite the fact that rumor sources claim that the documents are authentic, the schedule may still change, but will be approximately the same as described above.
Call of Duty league representatives will announce the official date for the Call of Duty League 2023 this fall.
The last season of the Call of Duty League was concluded at the CoD World Championship, Call of Duty League 2022. The last one took place between August 4th and 7th, with a total prize pool of $2,550,000. The winners of the event were the Los Angeles Thieves, who took the main reward in the form of $1,200,000.
