Full changelog of patch 2.0
While VALORANT is gearing up for Episode 2, Riot Games is bringing fans a full roster of upcoming changes to the game.
At the beginning of Episode 2, Yoru will join the agent squad, and the other two characters - Brimstone and Omen - are getting some minor but important changes. It is noted that in future updates of the game, changes will also wait for Viper.
The changes will also affect the rating system, which from now on depends on the number of accumulated "points" (RRI). A regional leaderboard will also be added to the game, which will include the top 500 players who have reached the "Immortal" or "Radiant" rank.
For Brimstone, the duration of the smoke screen and the ability to place it have been increased. For example, the cast range has been increased from 4200 to 5000, while the duration of the smoke screen has been increased from 14.25 to 19.25. You will no longer have to select the "Stimulator Beacon", since the skill is activated by pressing a button. Also, when confirming the location of the smoke screen, Brimstone does not make a sound that is audible to enemies. Additionally, the cost of the Hammer Launcher has been reduced to $ 200.
The changes also affected Omen, who will have to more accurately block the view of nearby enemies, as well as place the sphere in distant parts of the map for longer. Paranoia cost increased to $ 400. Additionally, Shadow Shroud cast range has been reduced from 4000 to 2800.
The developers also paid attention to the Classic pistol:
- Inaccurate fire duration after jumping increased from 0.4 to 1.0 seconds.
- Consecutive bursts of shots will result in inaccurate shooting for 1.9 seconds. for the first stage, 2.5 sec. for the second and 6.0 sec. for the third and fourth.
- Alternate mode input queue changed from 0.065 to 0.225.
- Alt mode cooldown now starts at 0.1 sec.
Additionally, patch 2.0 introduces improvements and bug fixes. The "Add Friend" button has also been removed from the in-game menu.
