When it comes to VALORANT, G2 Esports already has a fair share of success behind it. Now the organization has decided to take a different route and is rebuilding its already stellar team. This means Davidp will be inactive, while G2 Esports hopes to add some fresh blood to their new roster.

This move is somewhat surprising as G2 Esports looked like one of the best teams in the VALORANT professional scene, recently finishing third in First Strike, losing to Team Heretics in the semifinals. This result is possibly the main reason for the lineup changes.

Davidp only signed with G2 Esports in June after some strong performances as a (then) temporary stunt double during several tournaments such as WePlay! Invitational. He reacted on Twitter and thanked the organization for spending time there.

The management of the organization stated that their team was too limited in picks, so it was decided to part with the captain. G2 Esports will contribute to the further employment of the player. At the moment, the organization is actively looking for a new captain. According to insiders, the team is going to move to Germany, where the organization's head office is located.

The VALORANT G2 Esports roster was formed in June 2020. During this time, the team won six Riot Games tournaments in a row and has not lost for seven months. But in December 2020, the team for the first time failed to take first place in the First Strike Championship.
