NAVI Plans Major Roster Overhaul to Reclaim Valorant Dominance
To reclaim their position in the Valorant scene, NAVI has announced plans to revamp their roster following two consecutive years of disappointing results. The organization is actively seeking new talent and inviting both players and coaches to join the team.
After their defeat at the 2023 World Championship, the Ukrainian team made minor roster changes, bringing in Ardis "ardiis" Svarenieks to replace Mehmet "cNed" İpek, who moved to another organization. NAVI management decided to preserve the core roster and focused on restructuring the coaching and club staff, but these changes did not yield the desired results.
In 2024, the team made minimal changes but lost head coach Erik "Erik" Sandgren, who had led the team since late 2022. He was replaced by Swedish coach Oliwer "LATEKS" Fahlander, who had previously served as an assistant coach.
Despite the changes in staff and coaching, the club's performance did not improve significantly. Early in the year, the team performed decently, securing 3rd place at VCT 2024: EMEA Kickoff, just missing out on the Masters. However, NAVI faced challenges at VCT 2024: EMEA Stage 1 and Stage 2, finishing in 6th and 5th places, respectively.
As a result, the team management has decided to implement major changes, likely affecting the player roster. Fans are eagerly awaiting the upcoming announcements and the new direction NAVI will take to regain their competitive edge.
