Valorant Set to Receive Major Fan-Requested Changes

Riot Games has confirmed that major updates are coming to Valorant, including long-awaited nerfs to the overpowered Agent Tejo and the long-demanded replay system. Since its 2020 launch, Valorant has grown into one of Riot’s biggest successes, with a global player base and nearly 30 unique Agents. Now, some of the most frequently requested community changes are finally on the horizon.

Tejo Nerfs Incoming: Riot to “Take Some Fuel Out”

🔥 Since his debut, Tejo has dominated the meta, quickly becoming one of Valorant’s most picked and feared Agents. His explosive kit makes him a threat both before and after spike plant, with abilities that disrupt enemy positioning and apply heavy pressure.

📉 Fans have been calling for Tejo to be nerfed, and Riot is answering. According to Insider Gaming, Valorant boss Anna Donlon confirmed that Patch 10.09 includes changes to scale back Tejo’s rocket-powered abilities, stating Riot will “take some of the fuel out” of his kit.

Replay System Confirmed for September

🕹️ One of the most requested features since launch, a full replay system, is finally on its way to Valorant. Donlon announced that the feature is officially scheduled for release this September, allowing players to rewatch matches, analyze plays, and improve their skills just like in League of Legends.

💬 The replay system is especially important to competitive and high-ELO players, who have long sought in-game tools to review their performance, correct mistakes, and strategize more effectively.

Big Leadership Changes at Riot Games

⚙️ These gameplay updates come amid executive shakeups at Riot. The company recently appointed Hoby Darling, former Logitech executive, as its new president, aiming to usher in a new era after recent controversies.

📦 Riot previously faced backlash over changes in League of Legends, including the removal of Hextech Chests, which were later reinstated following community outrage.

What’s Next for Valorant Players?

With Tejo getting toned down and the replay system launching in the fall, Valorant is entering a transformative phase. Players can expect smarter meta shifts, better tools for improvement, and more community-driven updates in the months ahead.
