Split Returns, New Lotus Map - Introducing VALORANT Patch 6.0
Riot Games has published a list of changes that will appear in VALORANT with the release of patch 6.0. In particular, the developers are returning the Split map, adding a new Lotus map, updating the battle pass and resetting the ranks, as well as making changes to a number of game mechanics. Return of the Split card
Six months later, the developers completed the Split map and returned it to the active map pool. Despite the initial plans, Riot Games did not significantly change the map and limited itself to minor improvements in the balance.
- The first combat zone at the exit to A bombsite for the attackers has become wider and received a small ledge
- The jump platform next to the orb has been scaled down to give attackers a view of the A site
- Roof terrace has been removed to make it easier for attackers to clear the area
- The rear of the turret has been leveled to make climb battles easier for both teams.
- Defender jump containers at B have been removed to make space easier
New Lotus card
A new map has been added that, together with Split, will replace Bind and Haven in the active pool. Lotus is distinguished by the presence of three spike sites and colorful landscapes. The map will be available in quick play for one week - with the release of patch 6.1, Lotus will be added to the list of competitive and unranked games.
