Gen.G Esports said goodbye to iNTRO

Multinational esports organization Gen.G Esports has announced unexpected changes to its VALORANT roster. As a result, the club said goodbye to iNTRO, who only joined as a substitute at the end of October. According to the South Korean player, he had to take this step for personal reasons.

As of today, we have made a mutual decision to terminate the contract with iNTRO. We ask for your support as we look forward to starting next season for Gen.G Esports.

iNTRO spent the last months of the last season with REJECT, with whom they failed in the VCT 2022: East Asia Last Chance Qualifier. However, in October, the 20-year-old South Korean player became part of the Gen.G Esports affiliate roster, albeit listed as a substitute. Together with the new team, he never managed to play at the Gwangju Esports Series - Asia, which turned out to be a disappointment for Gen.G Esports after losing to DRX and ZETA DIVISION.

Due to a combination of personal circumstances, the contract was terminated by mutual agreement with the team. It was not long, but I was very grateful to the team members and the people involved!, wrote iNTRO.

Recall that the Gen.G Esports organization was among the partners to participate in the VCT 2023 in Asia. The esports club will play in the same League together with ZETA DIVISION, T1, DRX, Global Esports, DetonatioN Gaming, Team Secret, Rex Regum Qeon, Paper Rex and Talon Esports.

It is unclear if the club will be looking for a sixth player to meet the organizers' official recommendations. However, the nearest championship for the South Korean team is VALORANT Champions Tour 2023: LOCK//IN São Paulo, which will be held from February to March in Brazil.
