Riot Games has published the official list of changes that will be made to VALORANT with the release of patch 5.12. In particular, the developers paid special attention to the processing of the Chamber agent in order to find the optimal balance.

Chamber destroys everything in competitive and professional games, and maybe even in your nightmares, because the last update made him one of the strongest agents. We want to find the perfect balance between maintaining character identity and maintaining the competitive spirit of VALORANT.

My team and I tried and tested several changes for Chamber. In the process of iteration, we came to the conclusion that his current skills give too much advantage over other agents, upsetting the balance of power in the game, and this goes against the principles of the main VALORANT tactical cycle.

"Head hunter":

  • Increased spread after 2nd bullet in fast fire

"Rendezvous":

  • Now places one anchor that you can teleport to while in its area of effect - range increased from 15 to 26 meters
  • Removed the height limit for teleport activation
  • Increased weapon selection time after teleporting from 0.4 to 0.7 seconds
  • Destroying Rendezvous' teleport anchor disables it for the rest of the round - the charge will no longer regenerate
  • Retrieving the anchor after teleporting does not increase charge recovery time

"Crown Reception":

  • The radius of the trap has become limited - it turns off if the player goes out of its range, and turns on again if he returns
  • From now on, the trap can be recalled during the round - the cooldown is 30 seconds
  • Initial preparation time increased from 2 to 4 seconds
  • Health increase from 1 to 20 units

"Demonstration of Strength":

  • Rate of fire reduced by 57.5%

In addition, the developers changed the slowdown when using the Signature Move and Show of Power from 6 to 4 seconds.
