100 Thieves signs with Cryocells
The North American esports organization 100 Thieves has announced changes to their VALORANT roster. As a result of the latest changes, Cryocells has joined the team, while Will has been moved to the inactive roster. The club announced these changes in their social networks.
Cryocells spent the last season with XSET. Together with the team, the 19-year-old American player won the Nerd Street Gamers: Winter Championship, Nerd Street Gamers: Summer Championship - Philadelphia and VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: North America Stage 2 Challengers, and also took part in the VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: Stage 2 Masters - Copenhagen (7th-8th place) and VALORANT Champions 2022 (5th-6th place).
In turn, the 100 Thieves organization will deactivate Will, who has been part of the starting lineup for the past five months. Together with the team, the 22-year-old Canadian became the winner of the VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: North America Last Chance Qualifier, and also took part in the VALORANT Champions 2022.
100 Thieves has partnered with Riot Games and will take part in the top competitive ecosystem alongside Sentinels, Cloud9, NRG Esports, Evil Geniuses, FURIA, LOUD, MIBR, Leviatán Esports and KRÜ Esports.
International leagues kick off with the VCT 2023: Kickoff Tournament in February, featuring all 30 partner teams from Asia, America and Europe.
This is likely not the only change to 100 Thieves' roster as the organization explores other options, including signing superstar TenZ. With Riot Games' October 15th milestone approaching, clubs will be entering the transfer market en masse.
The updated composition of 100 Thieves in the VALORANT discipline:
- Asuna
- Derrek
- stellar
- cryocells
- bang (loan)
- sgares and Mikes (coaching staff)
- Will (inactive)
