Gambit Esports roster will continue to play under the wing of AS Monaco

According to our information, the roster of the Russian esports organization Gambit Esports will continue to perform on the VALORANT professional stage under the wing of AS Monaco. Thus, the club's management intends to revive the long-standing partnership with the football club, with which they previously shared one of the Dota 2 rosters.

The roster of Gambit Esports faced difficulties at the beginning of this year. Due to the resulting sanctions, the organization lost the opportunity to officially represent the team, as a result of which it continued to perform under the independent tag M3 Champions.

Nevertheless, the Russian team was one of the leading elements of its region, noting itself with victories at VCT 2021: EMEA Stage 3 Challengers Playoffs and VCT 2021: Stage 3 Masters - Berlin, as well as reaching the final of VALORANT Champions 2021.

And yet, in the light of the upcoming changes in the competitive ecosystem, Gambit Esports automatically flew past the affiliate program, without even trying to get into the number of the favorites. As a result, the organization made an attempt to push AS Monaco into the league, which appears to have been successful.

One of the organizations that managed to pass to the next stage of consideration of applications is the AS Monaco football club, which also owns the AS Monaco esports asset. It was this club that remained unnamed until recently, trying to hide its ambitions in the discipline from Riot Games.

Now the organization has to "like" the developer and submit a detailed plan before becoming a full partner of the franchise league in the next competitive season. Do not forget that changes are also coming in the team composition - while the team will leave d3ffo, Jady will take its place on the server.

M3 Champions is currently gearing up for the start of the VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: EMEA Last Chance Qualifier, scheduled for Sunday, August 7th. In the quarterfinals of the competition, the Russian team will play with Acend.
