TOP 10 teams by the number of prize money won in VALORANT

The VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: Stage 2 Masters - Copenhagen has come to an end, following which there have been significant changes in the balance of power on the competitive scene. From now on, the European region has regained the palm, although in the TOP-10 teams in terms of the number of prize money won, the team from North America is still in the lead. In this article, we will talk about ten such teams that are the strongest representatives of VALORANT.

Tenth place: Cloud9

The North American team cannot return to the fore in any way, although last year they showed promise and showed a good game. Over the two years spent in the discipline, the Cloud9 organization managed to extract $260,562 in prize money. In many ways, this figure was due to the success of the team at last year's VALORANT Champions 2021 (5-8th place), as well as relatively good results at the local level - VCT 2021: North America Last Chance Qualifier (1st place), VCT 2022: North America Stage 1 Challengers (3rd).

9th place: Paper Rex

The absolute leader of Southeast Asia is already tired of winning on the local stage. But if last season the team could not boast of the same stability at the international level, then this year Paper Rex breaks all the patterns. As a result, the organization managed to earn $299,801 in prize money, while most of the team's success falls on the current season - VCT 2022: Stage 1 Masters - Reykjavík (4th place), VCT 2022: Stage 2 Masters - Copenhagen (2nd place).

Eighth place: Fnatic

The European team is almost a permanent participant in international championships. However, as such, Fnatic has not yet gained success, living next to high places. And yet, the team’s ascent began last season, when it reached the final of the VCT 2021: Stage 2 Masters - Reykjavík. After that, the British club had a series of failures, and yet the roster took part in VALORANT Champions 2021 (5-8th place). In total, Fnatic earned $328,007 in the discipline, along with finishing fourth at the latest VCT 2022: Stage 2 Masters - Copenhagen.

Fnatic roster:

  • booster
  • Mystical
  • Derke
  • enzo
  • Alfajer

7th place: Team Liquid

Another representative of Europe in the top ten. Team Liquid has been represented in VALORANT for two years, although the team can not become one of the strongest on the scene. As a result, the team managed to compete in only three international championships, earning a total of $341,173 in prize money. However, the "liquid" invariably got involved in the fight, living within the top ten - VCT 2021: Stage 2 Masters - Reykjavík (4th place), VALORANT Champions 2021 (3-4th place), VCT 2022: Stage 1 Masters - Reykjavik (7th-8th place).

Team Liquid roster:

  • soulcas
  • ScreaM
  • jumppi
  • Nivera

Sixth place: OpTic Gaming

Speaking about OpTic Gaming, you need to understand that in its pure form, the organization is represented in VALORANT relatively recently, since it merged with Team Envy only at the end of last year. Nevertheless, in seven months the North American team has made significant progress, winning the VCT 2022: Stage 1 Masters - Reykjavík, and also getting into the TOP 3 of the last VCT 2022: Stage 2 Masters - Copenhagen. Well, do not forget that the team became the second in the North American split in spring and summer.

OpTic Gaming Roster:

  • FNS
  • Victor
  • crashies
  • yay
  • Marvel

Fifth place: G2 Esports

Surprisingly, G2 Esports opens the top five teams in terms of the amount of prize money earned (it has $353,554 on its account). At the same time, the European team has never been considered a grand and definitely did not claim great success. This season alone, the team took second place at VCT 2022: EMEA Stage 1 Challengers, and also took 5th-6th place at VCT 2022: Stage 1 Masters - Reykjavík.

  • nukkye
  • AvovA
  • hoodie
  • Meddo

Fourth place: FunPlus Phoenix

The current Masters champion seems to have always been one of the strongest representatives in Europe. But FunPlus Phoenix managed to get the first international challenge only this season, and not on the first try. And yet, the European team fully met the expectations of the fans by winning the last VCT 2022: Stage 2 Masters - Copenhagen. Well, in total, the organization earned $395,501 in prize money.

Composition of FunPlus Phoenix:

  • ANGE1
  • Shao
  • Zippan
  • SUYGETSU
  • ardiis

Third place: Gambit Esports (M3 Champions)

Last season, almost all rivals were afraid of this team. However, today the Russian team is experiencing great difficulties, having missed both Masters in Iceland and Denmark. However, thanks to the breakthrough in 2021, the team earned a total of $495,449 in prize money. Well, the main achievements of Gambit Esports (M3 Champions) can be considered the victory at VCT 2021: Stage 3 Masters - Berlin, as well as getting into the TOP-2 within VALORANT Champions 2021.

Runner-up: ACEND

Another European club that is experiencing big problems this season. If last year Acend took part in two international tournaments, then over the past seven months the team has not achieved anything. Still, the victory at VALORANT Champions 2021, as well as getting into the playoffs of VCT 2021: Stage 3 Masters - Berlin, helped the organization extract $514,734 in prize money from the discipline.

  • vakk

1st Place: Sentinels

Perhaps the most overrated team that could ever be on stage. Last season, the Sentinels really were considered the strongest. However, further on, the North American team stopped keeping the high bar, lowering the requirements for themselves. And yet, echoes of those results still reverberate to this day, as the organization managed to earn $567,500 in prize money. If we talk about the achievements of the Sentinels, then the victories at the VCT 2021: Stage 2 Masters - Reykjavík and regional splits, as well as participation in the VCT 2021: Stage 3 Masters - Berlin (5th-8th place), VALORANT Champions 2021 (9- 12th place).

The composition of the Sentinels:

  • ShahZaM
  • dapr
  • TenZ
  • shroud
  • Zellsis

VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: Stage 2 Masters - Copenhagen took place from July 10 to 24 in Copenhagen at the Forum. Recall that the winner of the championship was the FunPlus Phoenix team, which defeated Paper Rex with a score of 3:2 in a tense grand final.
