Rawkus Named Sentinels Head Coach
The North American esports organization Sentinels has announced the appointment of Rawkus as the head coach of the VALORANT roster. It should be noted that the 27-year-old American specialist already led the team at the end of the last - the beginning of the current season, but later left the club, as the parties failed to agree on the details of the transfer.
Rawkus played for FaZe Clan from August 2020 to March 2021, leading the team to victory at VCT 2021: North America Stage 1 Challengers 3, as well as reaching the final of VCT 2021: North America Stage 1 Masters and VCT 2021: North America Stage 3 Challengers 2. After that, the 27-year-old American player left the team's starting lineup to accept an offer to lead the Sentinels in the fall. As a coach, Rawkus failed to take the team to the playoffs of VALORANT Champions 2021, taking 9-12th place in the tournament.
However, in February, the specialist left the team, returning to the FaZe Clan camp. Here, the 27-year-old American never got to work, dropping out of the competitive scene for several months.
The North American team is currently trying out for the second qualifier for VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: North America Stage 2 Challengers. In the first round of the competition, the team will face Clanless.
From now on, the Sentinels roster for VALORANT is as follows:
- ShahZaM.
- Sik.
- dapr.
- Tenz.
- Kanpeki.
- Rawkus (head coach)
