Nearest Airport became the champion of Nerd Street Gamers: Summer Championship - Open 1
The Nerd Street Gamers: Summer Championship - Open 1 has come to an end. At the championship, which was held online from April 11 to April 13, 64 North American teams fought for a prize pool of $3,500, as well as rating points in the NSG: Summer Championship table. The winner of the tournament was the Nearest Airport team, which in the grand final was stronger than Complexity Gaming with a score of 2:0 (Haven - 13:7; Bind - 13:5).
As part of the championship, Nearest Airport confidently held out for two game days, during which the team outplayed Aspyre (2:0), T1 (2:0), Akrew (2:1) and Moon Raccoons (2:0). In the finals of the competition, the North American team confidently defeated Complexity Gaming (2:0), thanks to which they earned $1,750.
