gMd became a free agent
North American esports organization Gen.G Esports has announced roster changes for VALORANT, parting ways with gMd. After two seasons with the team, the 21-year-old Canadian becomes a free agent. According to rumors, the esportsman may join TSM, which is gathering a new roster.
Today we say goodbye to the legend of the Gen.G Esports VALORANT roster. Thank you gMd for dedicating yourself to our team. You will always be part of the Gen.G Esports family and have our support wherever you go.
gMd became the founder of the original Gen.G Esports roster, joining the team in the spring of 2020. For almost two years, the 21-year-old Canadian esportsman helped the team win the T1 x Nerd Street Gamers Invitational, Pittsburgh Knights Tournament Series, Pulse Invitational and Pittsburgh Knights Before Christmas, as well as get into the top three at the Pittsburgh Knights Invitational Gauntlet Series, JBL Quantum Cup and VCT 2021: North America Stage 1 Masters.
The last tournament for gMd as part of Gen.G Esports was the Proving Grounds $20k - Spring 2022, following which the team took second place, losing in the grand final to FaZe Clan (0:2).
From now on, the Gen.G Esports roster for VALORANT is as follows:
