ddk could become 100 Thieves general manager
According to insiders George Geddes and Max Katz, North American esports organization 100 Thieves plans to appoint ddk to the position of general manager of their VALORANT team. The club is currently considering various candidates, among which the former commentator appears.
According to sources, one candidate that has been discussed internally is a former ddk commentator. The 33-year-old Briton declined to comment a few days ago and cited disagreements between him and Riot Games as one of the factors behind his decision.
Fans, thank you for helping me make my dream come true. You are the ones who made this all happen. I hope you enjoy my next steps and continue to support my esports endeavours. Please save your angry comments about Riot Games and respect that I want to leave on a positive note.
Known as one of the most prominent casters in VALORANT, ddk himself revealed on March 19 that he will not be part of the lighting studio for the upcoming VALORANT Champions Tour Masters Stage 1, due to begin next month in Reykjavik.
ddk has covered esports CS:GO tournaments since 2013. During this time, the 33-year-old Briton has worked at many major championships, including PGL Major Kraków 2017, ELEAGUE Major: Boston 2018 and PGL Major Stockholm 2021. In addition, ddk has worked in the VALORANT discipline, commentating on last year's VALORANT Champions 2021.
Currently, the 100 Thieves VALORANT roster is as follows:
- hiko.
- asuna.
- Ethan.
- bang (rent).
- jcStani (loan).
- Jovi (Head Coach)
- Rocket (assistant coach).
